House Number Wreath

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. We had both of our Mothers (and Fathers) over for dinner on Saturday night, and then I spent the Sunday with my sweet little men. They truly make every day special.

And this is what I made for my Mother and MIL this year for Mother's Day. It's a little late to make these for your Mother as a Mother's Day gift (I couldn't show you until after they received them), but you can certainly make one for yourself.

This was a fun, quick project that resulted in  2 pretty wreaths and 1 large blister on my finger. Note to self - glue gun is HOT and gets hotter the longer it stays plugged in.

I decided not to take pics for a tutorial because it was really quite simple.

Supplies
-grapevine wreath
-unfinished wooden #'s (can be purchased at any craftstore)
-primer and spraypaint for #'s ( or paint of choice and paint brush)
-strips of fabric (1 for each #, approx. 12" long)
-fake flowers
-glue gun and glue sticks

The Process
- Paint #'s and let them dry
- Cut or rip 3 strips of fabric into strips about 12" long
- Tie fabric strip around wreath in a tight not. Make sure that one end is very short and hidden in the back and that the other side is long enough to glue a wooden letter to it.
- Hot glue numbers to fabric strips making sure that everything is spaced nicely.  (keep fingers away from the glue, it really is hot)
- Once glue is dry you can cut any excess fabric that is hanging past the # making it look messy.
- Decide on placement for flowers and then put a very generous amount of hot glue on the back of each flower and glue into place.
