March Goals and a New Adventure

EEK! It's already March the 3rd and I am just not getting around to doing this. I did not crush my Feb. goals, but I did get several things crossed off of the list.

February Recap

 Home Projects

- Finish painting the interior side of our front doors. (This has been on the list since January and still hasn't been done. I am taking it off of the list for now. We just got a new door knob and peep hole for the doors, so I am glad I haven't finished this. The new knobs are going to require a good bit of repair work, so I'm not really sure what this will turn into.)

Finish Master Bedroom
-sew new pillow covers
-recover chair cushion
-paint new piece of art

Organizing

-playroom toys

-A new garage door is being installed today, so the Garage is getting bumped up the list. I will not blog about this, because it will never be pretty. I'm okay with that, I just want super functional.

Blog

- Bring back the 2 Bills 2 Blow Series

The New Adventure - I had planned to do Chalean Extreme at the beginning of this year, but had to put it off do to a hand injury. Yesterday morning I woke up and decided that it was finally time to start, and finish the program this time. It is only 90 days. Surely, I can do this. I plan to set some goals for myself as far as weight loss, and my eating habits, but right now my main goal is to do this exercise program. The other thing that I am working on is kicking my sugar habit. My first goal is to go 2 weeks with no dessert or candy. Yikes! This will be major for me. I do make homemade iced coffees at home and sweeten them with sugar, but I'm not ready to give that up just yet. It will come, though.

I'm not sure how often I will talk about this here just yet, but I am putting hit here because I do want to add a Health/Fitness section to my monthly goals post each month.

*I am not a beach body coach. I am just looking forward to starting this program.

What kind of things are you working on this month?

February Goals

I am going to call January a productive month. I didn't finish everything on my list, but I did complete several things that weren't on the list. I do like keeping up with this here; it's a pretty nice motivator.

January

Home Projects

- Finish the Dining Room Table (Asher is currently building a table for me and I am not going to ask him to do anything else until it is done. He is doing a great job on it, and I can't wait to share it with you.)
- Finish painting the interior side of our front doors.  (The weather has not been cooperating with me on this one. I have to have nice weather on a day that I can stay home all day.)

Organizing

- Clean out all of our clothing closets and drawers.
- Get rid of the items that we are not keeping

Blog

- Be Consistent with the the Organize it posts. (2 posts per week) (This didn't happen.)

The List Review

I made a "Just Get it Done" list a few weeks ago and wanted to see how much I could get done by the end of last week. We ended up going out of down for a few days, so that gave me less time to work on it. I didn't finish, but I did make some progress.

- finish painting our master bedroom and bathroom (I started this in early July. I have one wall and trim on that wall left. I have never left a room half finished this long.)

- paint the back of the cabinets that are between the kitchen and den

- finish panting the trim on the kitchen windows

- hem dining room curtains

- rework kitchen curtains - this will involve some sewing (you will see this soon in a post of it's own)
- make pillow shams for master bedroom - more sewing (this was a bust, I ended up not being happy with the fabric I chose)

- chalkboard project (you will see this soon in a post of it's own)

- paint my desk

- get rid of all of the red in the playroom

Not too bad, but I still have plenty to do. We are going to be hosting a few small groups in our home starting at the beginning of Oct. so that may be just the motivation I need to finish up this list.

Does anyone else have any projects they are just trying to get done? Do share.

The Just Get It Done List

I have so many projects that are small and painless that need to be finished or started and finished, but I just keep putting them off.

I am a list girl so I am hoping that having a list and needing to check them off will be enough motivation to just get these projects done.

Here's the list.

- rework kitchen curtains - this will involve some sewing

- make pillow shams for master bedroom - more sewing

- chalkboard project

- paint my desk

- get rid of all of the red in the playroom

I'm going to see how much of this I get get done by the end of next week. Now I just need to pick a project and get started.

P.S. - Was anyone else as sad as I was to see Kellie go home last night on Design Star? I really wanted her to win. Who is your fav? I am now pulling for Meg... or maybe Mark.
