A Spring Mantel

After

I don't normally change my fireplace mantel around for holidays or seasons with the exception of Christmas, but after reading Layla's post about her spring mantel I was inspired to change mine around.

Before

I have recently been trying to incorporate red into our living room because of an acquired (from the office) red chair, but I'm really missing all of my neutrals. So, out with the red on the mantel. I may just have to make a slipcover for the red chair and move on.

I didn't spend any money, I just used some spray paint and brought in a few things from some other places in the house.

It's beginning to look more like spring. What about you? Have you freshened up your mantel for spring?

  1. Looks great! I'm envious - we don't have a mantel and I want one. I'd love to find an old one and use it, without the fireplace!

  2. Looks lovely! Did you paint recently too? The walls look different than in the other picture... maybe I don't remember that from another post. :-)
