The Routine

We officially have a routine. All of our nursing issues have finally been fixed and now my little guy nurses and naps like a champ. I will give more details in another post about the nursing issues. If anyone else has had or is having the same kind of issues hopefully it will help to know that you aren't the only one and that it can be corrected.

The routine is a 3 hour eat, wake, sleep pattern with some cluster feedings in the evening. It is nice to know about how the day will go. Am flexible with this - absolutely. Is this subject to change - you bet. He is a baby and will continue to change, but this is where we are now.

So here is what our day typically looks like.

7 am - H is awake cooing and smiling in his crib ready for his first feeding. He is awake and has some playtime until around 8:30 and then goes down for a nap - in his crib.

10am - H is ready to eat again. A little play time and then ready for another nap in crib or car seat if we are running errands.

1pm - Feeding time again. More playtime. Another nap.

4pm - Time to eat again and a little playtime. This nap is usually in the swing.

6pm - Eat. Snooze in Swing.

8pm - Eat. Bed for the night.

4am - Eat. Back to bed. (I'm hoping he drops this feeding soon, but he is doing great, so I can't complain.)

  2. What a handsome little man! His routine sounds very similar to Averi's at that age. He must be pretty easy going. Averi dropped the middle of the night feeding right at 6 months with a little "push" from me. I like the new blog layout.
