How to Make Your Own Microwave Popcorn
Did you know that you can make your own microwave popcorn?
My mom said that she saw it on the Food Network, so I tried it.
You will need
1/4 unpopped kernels
1 lunch size brown paper bag
Put corn kernels in bag.
Fold over the top of few times, and make sure it is nice and tight.
Put in the microwave for approx. 2 mins.
You don't need any oil or butter, but you can add as little or much as you would like to get the desired flavor. I tried it with a dash of oil and with butter and had great results.
GENIUS! Do you know how much cheaper this is AND you can totally customize your flavors.
This is my fav.
Nikki's Cajun Popcorn
1/4 unpopped kernels
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Tony's Creole Seasoning
1/2 tbsp butter
Put it all in the bag.
Fold over the top of few times, and make sure it is nice and tight.
Put in the microwave for approx. 2 mins.
YUMMMMMMM!
If you try this with different seasoning combos let me know how they turn out.

We LOVE popcorn at our house and make air-popped popcorn at least two nights a week, sometimes more. We have some cinnamon powder that I'd love to try with your recipe. Yea!
ReplyDeleteoh, that sounds good!
ReplyDeleteWow I never knew that. I used to be able to get popcorn made with no oil or salt but no longer can find it. This is great - I can make my own - how easy! Thanks for the great tip.
