Friday Favs - Recipe Edition

This weeks favs are all about making life easier in the kitchen.

I have always been a meal planner, but I have been working to simplify things even more when it comes to cooking our meals. Enter, this pin from Redfly Creations.

What? You can make your own pre-made mixes? I would have never thought to do this. I am not a fan of all of the added preservatives in mixes, but I'm also not a fan of spending a ton of time in the kitchen.

So far, I have made the tortilla mix. This was my first time making tortillas, and I'm pretty sure it turned me into a tortilla snob. They were so good. I am looking forward to making the rest of the mixes to keep on hand.

One other thing I have been doing is working on having a few extra meals stocked in the freezer. I don't plan to have freezer cooking days, or to keeps tons of meals prepared ahead of time, but having a few meals on hand will be a good thing for those days that turn super busy. This recipe for Hamburger Noodle Casserole from Taste of Home is a new family favorite.

The other favorite recipe I want to share with you this week is for banana bread. We buy tons of bananas every week for smoothies and snacks. Some weeks we eat them, and some weeks they seem to go brown super fast. My fav go to recipe for banana bread is this one.

Happy Friday!
