I used to have a bedside table, but really wanted something with drawers. I also didn't really want to spend any money on one at this point. So, I took the one out of my son's room. He has a lot of furniture so he didn't really need it anyway.
This nightstand was given to us (along with some other furniture) when I was pregnant with my son. It was in desperate need of a new look. During it's first rehab it was painted navy.
Do you see the part where it is missing some paint? Well, the little boy of the house noticed a scratch or bubble (or something) and peeled the paint. Nice!
I had a hard time deciding what color I wanted to paint this nightstand. I knew I didn't want black or white. So, I went to Lowe's and looked at the oops paint just to see what they had. The had a gallon of paint that was the same color as my bedding. Easy enough.
I took it home and got to work. A few hours later it looks like this.
Now, I have a question for you. How many furniture rehabs ( not frames and candlesticks) are currently in your home? How many are white? How many are black? How many are a different color? How many are stained?
I have 6.
1- black
0- white
4- a different color
1- stained
Love it.
ReplyDeleteI have:
7 pieces.
Yeah for Paint~~~
I couldn't even count how many rehabs are in my house...many with stain, some with paint, nearly everything seems like it's had some kind of overhaul. Isn't it fun? The table looks great!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post. We moved last summer into a much smaller home and I painted everything the same creamy white. I have 5 cream, 2 black and 2 blue projects in progress. I buy most of my furniture by asking "Will it look good black or cream?" Your table turned out darling.
ReplyDeleteHi. I saw your blog on the contest you won at Just Beachy. I love the makeover. The color is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love your night stand, I should be embarresed but I think all of my furniture rehabs are black, I really need to get out of my little comfort zone don't I!
ReplyDeleteI have done 3 furniture things. 1 stained, 2 painted. I love the color you chose for your nightstands. It looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI only have 2 at this point, a third will be in the works soon. The first one is pale blue with a sheer whitewash over - it's a desk & chair. The other rehab is white - it's a chest of drawers that used to be terra cotta & gold - the total opposite of my colors.
