It has been a while since I have put together some curtain and pillow combinations. You know I am all about adding some pattern and color to a nice neutral space. I am also a fan of doing it without spending a lot of money.

Today's color combo is teal and gold.

Threshold Paisley Pillow in Honey - Set of 2 - $59.98 (currently on sale for $44.98 for the pair)

You can make $200 go further in your home than you think.

Got $200? - Let's add some pattern and color!

What is Got $200? I have seen home after home that is filled with brown, tan, or gray everything. So many people are afraid to bring in a little color and personality because they don't know where to start or they don't feel like they can afford to. Sure, you could spend a lot of money on bringing some personality into a room, but your don't have to. I think every room can benefit from color and pattern and the easiest way to bring that in is with curtains and pillows.

Threshold Fredwork Border Window Panel in Tan/Coral -  Curtain 95" Panels at $29.99 each- $59.98

Navy and Natural Greek Key 16" Pillow Covers - Set of two pillow covers - $30

White Flower Suzani  Embroidered Lumbar Pillow - $29.99

Coral Cotton Velvet Pillow - $36

Are you afraid of pattern and color? Do you have a neutral room that is begging for some personality?

*I was not paid or perked to list any of these items. I just found them while searching for items to put together. Prices listed do not include tax or shipping.

Got $200? - Let's Add Some Pattern and Color.

Most of the curtains I have sourced for this series are 84" panels, but I thought I would "spend" more this go around on the nice, custom 96" panels. It can still be done on a budget. If you can sew, you can do this for even less.

Blue Greek Key Patterned Panels - Set of 2 96" - $120

Blue Ikat Pillow Cover - $16

Coral Linen Pillow Covers - $18 each x 2 = $38

Gray, Natural Jiri Birch Stripe Ikat Pillow Cover - $24

You can make $200 go further in your home than you think.

It has been a LONG time since I have done a Got $200 post, but I thought it was time to do another one.

Got 200? Let's add some pattern and color.

I didn't get around to doing a Got $200 post last week, so I was pretty excited about it this week. Teal and brown will always be some of my fav colors to decorate with, but I thought I would add in some orange. It just makes it nice and warm.

Diva Ikat Curtain Panels from World Market - $34.99 each

Velvet Pillow Cover 12 x 18 - Peacock Blue Geometric Print by Decidedly Chic - $39.99

(Set of 2) 20 x 20 Orange Accent Pillow Covers by ElemenOPillows - $36.00

(Set of 2) 16 x 16 Chocolate Brown Pillow Covers by Thread Pairs - $24

I came in well under $200 again this week. I like it when that happens.

Got $200? - Let's add some Pattern and Color

I mentioned last week that one of the easiest ways to transform a room is to bring in pattern and color. I also believe that it can be done on a real budget without DIY'ing everything. And you know I like a good DIY, but I know that not everyone has the patience.

This week I put together some curtains and pillows in gray, green, and navy.

Target Home Henna Curtain Panels in Gray - 2 panels at $24.99 each

Green White and Navy pillow cover by fabricate - $35 each

Navy and White pillow covers by Fabric Junkie - Set of 2 $30

Vintage Green and White Pillow cover by SuzanneBag- $22

Oh, and check my math, this one comes in well under $200, and you don't have to sew anything.

Got $200? - Let's Add Some Pattern and Color

First, let me say that I think I am stuck on $200. I think that so many people feel like they have to spend a lot of money or be able to DIY everything in sight to make updates to their home. That is simply not true. You don't have to break the bank to bring some life into your sea of beige house.

How do you get from a house that is full of neutral solids (because you were scared to make a choice) to a home that reflects your personal style? You bring in PATTERN and COLOR. What is the easiest most affordable way to bring in pattern and color?  The answer is fabric. It can be very affordable and easily changed when you decide that you have a new fav color.

I plan to bring you a new Got $200? post each week. I will focus on living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, and will use many different combinations of color. My personal favs are brown, teal, and green, but I promise to give you more that just my favs. If you have any requests feel free to email me.

For $200 you can get 2 window panels (assuming that you have 1 window),  2 teal Ikat pillow covers, 1 imperial trellis pillow cover, and 2 green lattice pillow covers.

That is a pretty good dose of pattern and color for $200. Sure, you can bring in other accessories, but just curtains and pillows will go a long way to making your home feel more put together.

Curtain Panels by Target- 95" panels - $29.99 each, 84" panels - $24.99 each
Teal Ikat Pillow Cover  by Nelson Design- $30 each
Imperial Trellis Pillow Cover by Nelson Design - $45 each
Set of 2 Green Lattice Pillow Covers by Fabric Junkie - $34 for pair
