a linen closet story

It was time to tackle the linen closet. It had become a huge mess.
I'm a little embarrassed to show you how bad it was,
but, it is what it is.
A MESS.

I realized that I haven't shown you what we started with.
There was originally NO linen closet of any kind
in this 3 bedroom 1 bath rental house that we call home.
There was a weird little cabinet, counter with mirror,
and wire shelf that was not very practical.

We decided that we could turn this "weird space"
into a closet so that we didn't have to look at our "stuff"
every time we went into the bathroom.

 The mister took some measurements,
went to Lowes, came home with wood, nails, paint, and a door.
A few weeks later we had a closet.
(he worked on it slowly as he had time)

Saturday afternoon the closet looked like this.
A. MESS.

I spent a little time cleaning out and reorganizing,
and this is what it looks like now.
I didn't purchase anything.
I used baskets that I already had
that were not being used.
SO much better!

What have you been organizing lately?

  1. Fantastic! Why is it the linen closet seems to get jumbled up so easily? I now feel the need to go and straighten mine up!!
