I hope everyone's 2011 is off to a wonderful start.
We are still in the process of getting ready to move. We thought we were going to move and then start the renovating process, but that would have been too easy. We are redoing ALL of the downstairs flooring (and possibly upstairs) before we move . . . in a week and a half. Lots of work for my sweet husband.
I am packing up our stuff and trying to figure out how to arrange all of our furniture. We are going to have a lot more room, but the rooms are long and narrow and it's making it difficult for me to picture anything. I know that things can be rearranged, but I'm trying to at least know where the TV's and cable modem need to go so that we don't have to have those things moved after the fact. I know it can be done, but it's annoying to have to do it.
If you have any good inspiration pics for long narrow living rooms with a couch, large chair, tv, piano, several end tables, and doorways in the mix send them my way.
Here is a sneak peek at the dining room BEFORE. I don't know if anything will be done before we move in other than flooring, but check out the wallpaper and curtains.
God is continuing to bless us and all of the details about this house and move. He is so good!
Happy New Year Nikki! Can't wait to see the after!

Have some ideas. The room needs to be set up in vignettes. Split the room in two other words. I can explain face to face if you want
ReplyDeleteLeasa, I know what a vignette is, silly! :P
ReplyDeleteI had thought that initially, but we are getting my piano back so the other 'vignette' is going to be a piano.
I think I finally have it worked out in my head, but I may still call you. I am really thinking that once all of the nasty carpet is out and the new flooring is in it will be easier to get a feel for everything. The crazy flooring is making it feel choppier than it already is.
how fun! i cannot wait to see what you do~
ReplyDeleteI'm glad all is going well, Nikki. I'm sure you will really appreciate the floors being done BEFORE you move in!
