31 Days of Simple Painted Projects - The Herringbone Pumpkin

Today's simple painted project is this Herringbone Pumpkin. The perfect little touch to add to your Fall Decor.

I started out with one of those inexpensive plastic pumpkins. It needed something. Why not gold and herringbone?

I used white acrylic paint to paint the entire pumpkin. I think it took 2 or 3 coats to get the coverage I wanted, and then painted the herringbone pattern using gold acrylic paint and a small paint brush. The pattern was really simple. I painted all of the grooves of the pumpkin and then filled in the other
 lines.

If you are still trying to decorate for fall, this would be a Simple Painted Project to update your inexpensive orange pumpkins.

This post is day 2 of a 31 day Series. You can see all 31 Simple Painted Projects HERE.

  1. Oh, my gosh, it is gorgeous. I have been in a painting mode. I have some old lamps I may try your other idea.
