A Simple Painted Project - Vintage Metal Art

This just might be my favorite art update using spray paint.

These vintage metal art pieces belonged to my Mother.  Sadly, this is the only picture I could find of them before I painted them. It is a terrible phone pic with terrible lighting. They were actually very pretty in her house.

I brought them home to my house not too long after she passed away. It was kind of hard to get up the nerve to paint them, but I knew that I would enjoy them much more if I did.

I simply wiped them down, and then painted them with 3 thin coats of glossy white spray paint.

They started out in our living room, but now live in our dining room. I enjoy seeing them everyday. I am also really happy with their fresh new look.

Don't be afraid to paint something that is special to you. Especially, if it will make it fit better in your home.

This post is day 6 of a 31 day Series. You can see all 31 Simple Painted Projects HERE.
