One day this week I went to get Henry out of his crib. He had pulled himself up and was kind of hanging on top of the rail. It wouldn't have taken much more for him to flip himself over. Little stinker! My rule has always been that when they start trying to get out and get close to succeeding it's time to move them to a toddler bed. I knew we were getting close to him trying to get of the crib, but 18 months?
Last night we went to my in-laws to get the toddler bed out of their attic. First thing this morning we put it together so that it would be ready for nap time. I was okay until they took the crib apart. I had a good cry. It was so much harder this time around. When Cade moved to a toddler bed it was okay because I knew that we would eventually have another baby. But this time, I know we are done having babies. No more cribs.
He was so excited.
Typical Cade while I'm trying to get a video. Can NOT stop talking.
And then he got all sweet on me.
We put him down for a morning nap, but he didn't take one. He was up and knocking on his door in no time. We took turns putting him back in bed a few times, but got him up after a while. I went to to grocery store and then his Daddy put him down for a nap after lunch. He was exhausted and didn't put up a fight. :)
He put up a good fight at bed time, but it didn't last long.
I especially like the last picture! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteI am thanking God that Lena hasn't been able to get out of hers yet. Can you imagine that day??
ReplyDeleteI love how involved he is in putting the bed together. So stinkin' cute! I can't believe Henry is already that big! You know he'll do great though. Your babies are champion sleepers! I'm jealous...
Yay, Henry!!! How cute it that?!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel though. I cried hard when we took Sophie's down. It was really, really hard. And yet, it is exciting to move to this next phase too.
